Portrait Photos
There are many quite areas suitable for portrait photography. Many are well shaded, but the golden hours (around dawn and dusk) are as always probably best. Bring a reflector.
Wildlife Photos
Probably early morning or late afternoon (with a dose of insect repellent) is the best time for wildlife photography, but the lakes and forests are teeming with wildlife at most times of the day if you look close enough. Look out for pale-headed rosellas, powerful owls, tusked frogs, bandicoots, gliders, or shy swamp and red-necked wallabies.
Tips
This is a wetlands environment so Mosquitoes are prevalent most times of the year – so bring some Insect Repellent. A water bottle is also a good idea if you plan on venturing far or doing the walking circuit.
