Gayundah Wreck, Woody Point

The Gayundah Wreck at Woody Point on the Redcliffe Peninsular is a gorgeous place for sunset shots.  Although the sun sets around the  other side of Woody Point (near the jetty) it still creates some great colours, light and reflections against the wreck.

The Wreck is also a great place to watch the moon rise, particularly when it is full.

How to get there:

There is a designated parking area off Gayundah Esplanade then follow the path around the corner to the Wreck.

Facilities:

Whilst there is no real facilities in the park/Wreck, the Palace Hotel is located on Gayundah Esplanade right above the Wreck.  It is also within walking distance to the cafe district of Woody Point (near the Jetty).
