The Road between Kompong Thom and Phnom Penh (National Highway 6), is in better condition (and busier) than many in Cambodia and packed full with things to see and photograph.
How to get there:
Kompong Thom is situated about halfway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap
Best time:
There are things to do and see along this road at any time of day, but some of the better iconic “paddy field” shots are probably best taken around sunrise or sunset
Tips:
I toured Cambodia with Nathan Horton – Cambodia Photography Tours – and I would highly recommend his services. Nathan has developed relationships with local monks, staff and villagers and is able to get access to areas and provide photographic opportunities that would not normally be available to the independent photographer.
