Mt Gravatt Outlook

Mount Gravatt Outlook offers stunning panoramic views over Brisbane including the Main Range, DAguilar Range, Mt Coot-tha, the city and Glass House Mountains.

Mt Gravatt OutlookThis Spot is ideal for landscape shots on a  clear day (but it can get hazy in the summer so mornings or afternoons are probably best).

The main view is towards the west, so a great place to get sunset shots over Brisbane CBD and Mt Cootha.

Sunrise is largely blocked by trees, but you can get some beautiful shots of the sun rising on Brisbane CBD.

How to get there

Mt Gravatt Outlook Drive is situated at the end of Shire Road, just off Logan Road in Mt Gravatt. Driving up the winding road to the summit.

Gates at the base of the mountain are supposed to close daily between 11 pm and 6 am  (but I have been there before 6AM and they have been open).

Facilities

Echidna Magic Restaurant, Kiosk & Native Gardens, is located on top next to the parking lot. It has a north facing veranda with stunning views over Brisbane.

What to Bring

The city is a fair way so if you want clear shots of the CBD you will probably want a decent Telephoto lens. For pre-dawn or night shots a tripod will probably be required too.
